This magazine article from Popular Science tells you about many things that are happening in China which is affecting the original companies. This article mostly tells you about how products are cloned, how factories are cloned, and what companies are doing about it.
I find this article very interesting because it talks about how China is and how capable the Chinese are with cloning products. In my opinion, the Chinese should not be cloning because they are only going to harm the reputation in China! Some foreigners might think that China is a very bad place to be because there are so many cloners! If China really wants to help the real companies the Chinese government should make more money and pay workers more.
They could also raise the minimum income for workers so that the Chinese people would be able to afford real goods and they would be able to stop piracy! Another thing that could be done is that the real companies should try selling their products for a cheaper price, and maybe even bring some of their products to China that’s quality is lower! Also instead of American companies shipping the products from China to the US they should just keep some in China and release them there so the cloners don’t get such a big chance!
If they did that it would even cut the overall price because the shipping cost would be cheaper! If I were China I would franticly be trying to find out ways to stop the cloners, but it seams like for some reason the Chinese government is not doing anything about it! For example, polices walk by stores selling illegal DVD’s without saying anything! If companies would lower the price of the products in China and the Chinese government would make the minimum salary more, more people would buy real products and there would be a lot less piracy!
In conclusion, I think that this is a very easy thing to do and the companies that make the products really shouldn’t be that stupid by not knowing what to do about piracy. Only by doing these two things, I would believe that many people would want to go to China and the companies would have a lot more money to research and find out what else they would need to develop!
