Frequently we run into hardships and problems as life progresses daily, weekly, and monthly. Here in the United States many of us have had the opportunity to witness growth, and struggle. Right now in this time of crisis I personally have a problem with the perks corporate america is taking. When small time individual business owners are struggling, and the average american struggles to pay the monthly rent, we hear and read about CEO's and other highly positioned personnel spending money on trips, jets, and other extra expenses while begging for help from our government in debt. Is it really that difficult to fly first class compared to a private jet? Do you really need to go to a spa to clean your pores when your company is facing bankruptcy? These questions along with many others bring up the ignorant mindset we face as consumers, and the general public.
The Regular Man
As regular people we fly around with what we can afford. We do spend more than our own budget, but those who are holding Master's, and Doctorate degrees running our corporations should have enough common sense not to do that. It could very much sound like I am venting and I cannot tell you otherwise, but I want to know how people feel about this topic which drives me crazy at times. In our pay system where in sports coaches get less than the laborers, and in business the laborers get less than the CEO's/Coaches, we need to look deep down inside our pay structure and figure out if the right people are getting the right pay. Doctors, Lawyers, Scientists all are compensated for the education they receive which is fair, but the overcompensation for faulty work is unacceptable. Malpractice by doctors, dragging cases with outstanding charges for lawyers, and scientific research on unimportant topics are increasing yearly if not monthly in the US. We as the regular man see this everyday, and with our working schedule we cannot make this seen in the eyes of the media.
Daily we have had to see on the news how big corporate CEO's are now taking pay cuts, and need relief to help the companies they work for stay alive. One thing they haven't considered is making products in the USA like they used to do in the past. Factories which provided labor and wages for workers were areas for people to have a way to find a living. These days those positions are now for secretaries and bank tellers to hold, and jobs are outsourced which could provide good stability if they were in our economy today.
Capitalism, Socialism, or a Dictatorship? You Decide.
