The concept and operation of an e-business will be explores and students will design and create an e-business website. The skills developed in this course will prepare students for success in the workplace and/or post secondary studies.
In unit 1 students will learn personal management skills, employers and post-secondary schools look for certain traits, behaviors, and skills that lead to success, in BTA301 students will learn how to use these traits and bring them into the real world when applying for a job, or post-secondary options.
In unit 4, students will be introduced to computing fundamentals, and how to use a computer, as students sit at their computers workstations and complete the tasks assigned by your teacher for this course, they take for granted that all equipment and software will work as expected. They will learn what process occurs every time they key in a document, browse the internet, or print out a project that is due.
Through BTA301, students will learn the usefulness and the how information technology has changed their lives in big ways as well as subtle ones, and how over the past 20 years information technology has completely transformed and impacted our day to day lives, form ways business operate, the changing nature of individual jobs in the computer world, to opening new markets, to increase communication between people across the world, and even to affecting the way organizations are structured.
BTA301 is designed to explore ways the information technology affects business, as well as provide you with the practical technology skills to pursue further education or a career in business.
