Get the Job You Want

Set your mind and get the job.

“Your job is to find a job.” You would definitely hear these words right after you toss your graduation toga up in the air and stepped out of your university forever. It is what the newly graduates are prepping their mind up and most of those who are unsuccessful with their previous jobs had to deal once more. There are a lot of reasons why people tend to get so anxious about getting a job. It is because it is the highlight of everyone's adult life, the main point of growing up. To find a job is to find your place under the sun. And in order to find your place under the sun, you would need to get out in the job jungle and secure one!

How do you know if you should find a job or not? Simple. First follow these instructions: Find a quiet place to sit. A comfortable chair would be perfect, not a stiff one. Be sure that the chair is located in a nearby window so it would help you relax and breathe some fresh air. Think and ponder the following questions: 1. Is the chair yours? If not? You should find a job. If the chair is yours, how about the house? If not? You should find a job. If the chair and the house are yours, you definitely had a job before. And you still need one to keep it. Simple isn't it?

Some people forgot to read their job jungle guidebook when they start threading off to their adventurous job hunting experience. They often end up unfit, unhappy and underpaid. The result? Several jobless sulking individuals trying to understand what went wrong.

So how would you find a job that suits you? Again the answer is simple. There is no job that suits you. Really, there isn't. Oh no, don't think too much as considering the job of a CEO or President as an all breezy suitable job because it isn't. They too, dance the beat of the clock. And sometimes a higher position requires a bigger share of responsibility and late night office work. If they looked like they're having fun signing those documents piled up neatly on their desks, you should consider that they have spent several years to earn it. A job is like a shirt that fits everyone, there's no job specifically tailored for you. The point is -you have to fit.

Before you start getting the job you want, you should first make it clear to yourself that you are going to a battle, and this won't be easy. You will have to face opponents, intimidating interviewers, and you should muster the ability to be patient while you wait long hours for your turn. When you start to get angry and impatient, just think that the boss is watching you through a hidden cam and this would definitely change your frown to a grin. Make a lasting impression, but be sure it's a good one.

Getting a job is important but knowing what job you want is crucial. You would not be at all effective if you do not like the job in the first place. This should be easy since whatever course you finished would definitely be the one that you would pursue as a career. Just be sure to listen to your mind and don't let other people's suggestion vary your decision, remember that this job would be your place under the sun and you would have to do some efforts to get it, so it needs to be a job of your liking.

Lastly, stop reading this and get out. Remember that the turtle only makes progress by sticking its head out.
