Hardships, and the Heroic Working Man.

Most Americans don't have the luxury of making the amount of money that they feel they deserve. The bottom line is, that money can't buy happiness, although most people don't fully believe in that concept. The working man appreciates what he has and what he has fought to achieve.

An Article to appease the negative attitudes towards society of the unsatisfied middle class worker:

Ever hear the phrase “money can’t buy happiness”? This common phrase, although considered a cliche by many, has undeniable truth behind it’s meaning. Let me start off by saying that I am not a financially successful part of this society, neither were my parents and their parents before them. Although, despite our lack of wealth in this materialistic world, we have managed to live happy and fulfilling lives because of a few common beliefs that have been instilled into our values for several generations.

First and foremost, there should be no blame put on society for our own misfortunes and shortcomings from an economic standpoint. Instead, the focus should be put upon fulfilling our own niche in society, regardless of how small this job may seem to the whole. If you are a bread delivery man (like my father) then you should not dwell on the fact that you are not a millionaire, but instead thrive on the reality that you are a functioning member of society that contributes to a greater good. It may seem that your work is pointless in nature, although consider the role of my father, if he did not deliver his bread route for one single week, the restaurants that he takes care of could not do their basic business functions.

Another common aspect of the negativity felt by the unsatisfied working class comes from the lack of money accumulated by their jobs. The word wealth is only an idea, a word that can have prove to have broader meaning to it then the accumulation of money and materialistic goods. Wealth can be sought out and attained through the satisfaction of performing a role in society better then the man or woman next to you. Wealth can come in many forms, despite the common belief, wealth can be acquired throughout someone’s life without them having millions of dollars to show for.

The Hardships of the working man are undoubtedly great in number, and formidable in their own right. Although, being able to overcome these hardships to find happiness in this materialistic world is something that should be cherished. In my opinion, hard work of any kind is commendable work, regardless of how minuscule it’s impact may seem on society.

An original thought that I would like to share with you that helps me get through the day with a sense of ease and peacefulness. Good luck with all of your future endeavors.

“The best day of my life was the day that I woke and realized the pencil I had been using to write out my life’s plan had an eraser attached to the end of it.”
