How to Find a Temporary Job Online

Would like the convenience and flexibility of a temporary job? Here are some ways to find a temporary job online.

If you'd like to earn some extra money but don't want to be tied down to a full-time job, a temporary job where you establish your own hours may be the answer. Some of these jobs can even be worked from home giving you the freedom to schedule your work time around family obligations. The online world has opened up a variety of resources and opportunities for people who want to earn extra money without committing to a full-time job. Here's how to find temporary work online:

HireMeNow.com

HireMeNow.com allows you to upload a video resume and profile and make yourself available for temporary jobs without paying a fee. Employers can make job offers to you directly and you can choose to accept or reject them based on your skills and preferences. This is a unique service that saves you the footwork of having to go from one temporary agency to another looking for part-time work. This site with its simple concept is a real time saver and should prove quite popular for both employer and employee.

Be a proofreader

If you have the skills to be a good proofreader, there's an established market waiting for your expertise. You can quickly and easily sign up at Grammatika for online proofreading and editing jobs. Before taking on jobs, you'll be given an online test to check your editing and proofreading skills. If you qualify, you can look through the job postings to find one that suits your particular needs and interests. Although you won't make a fortune proofreading, it's a flexible job that can be done from the comfort of your home.

Do medical transcription

Do you have good typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology? If so, you may qualify for temporary assignments doing medical transcription work. One site that can help you get medical transcription assignments is MT Jobs. Here you can post your resume and search the transcription jobs available. The good news is you can make almost thirty dollars an hour if you have the necessary skills without ever leaving home.

Visit job boards

There are a multitude of freelance job boards listing temporary job assignments that may match your skills and interests. Two of the most popular are Elance and Monster. Do a search using the term “temporary” and you can find a variety of opportunities available. It pays to check these sites regularly as the job offerings change quickly.

The online world has made it easier for you to find a temporary job that matches your skills and interests. Why not take advantage of all that technology has to offer and find your temporary job online?

Great article. Your tips are right on the money. Proofreading especially is a good gig for writers. Medical transcription is also great if you have the skills.
