The Stock Market

If you want to invest in the stock market, you should spend at least six months studying it. Study everything that you can about the stock market.

What people do not realize about the stock market is that it is essentially a gigantic confidence game. Even after the stock market crash, people continue to believe that there is such a thing as a safe investment. Investing in the NASDAQ Stock market is never safe. If you do not realize this, you should not play the stocks. Gimmicks like investing online lure a new generation of people with the promise of easy money. It is true that online investment offers the possibility of easy money. Money can be easily won or easily lost. Never gamble with more than you can afford to lose!

If you want to invest in the stock market, you should spend at least six months studying it. Study everything that you can about the stock market. Study stock market history, study economics, and read the advice of leading investors. It might make sense for you to pick a few stocks to follow closely. This will give you an idea of the ebb and flow of the stock market. Basically, you should immerse yourself as deeply as you can in stocks before you spend any money on them. It never make sense to play a game that you don't know for money. It can only end badly.

I started investing in the NYSE stock market about six years ago, before I knew what I was doing. I had taken a few classes in economics, and had a solid mathematical background as well. Basically, I thought I was hot stuff. I thought the stock market would be a cinch. Needless to say, I was wrong. I eventually broke even, and even turned a profit. In the first year or two, however, I lost massive amounts of money. The stock market plunged me deeply into debt. I was much more qualified than a lot of beginning investors, but I still was cleaned out.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that my advice about the stock market will probably go unheeded. People seem to need to make their own mistakes. I have been a financial investment adviser for years, but I could count on one hand the number of people who have really taken my advice to heart. No one wants to hear conservative message of caution and prudence. People always like to listen to the guy who says that they can get rich quick. You can get rich quick on the stock market, but you can get poor even quicker.
