$80 Million Dollars Turned Down

When eighty million dollars is not enough.

It is rumored that Microsoft Company offered $80 billion for Yahoo. It was turned down with the fact that it was said to be to low. It was roughly over 30% of the current market value of it. It’s easy to see why the offer was declined. Now who knows what might happen. Microsoft being owned by Bill Gates, it’s not hard to envision enough money coming out of him to make this a deal. Microsoft needs this badly, and they may offer more. During the offer the Yahoo share went up 4.4% though! Now Microsoft is rumored to be looking to buy a share of the yahoo search provider, but these plans are on hold at the moment.

With all the money that Microsoft has been dumping into Xbox Live, and MSN Groups, it looks as though they might be attempting to expand themselves by not focusing on acquisitions. There is a thought about yahoo and Microsoft partnering but that’s not likely to happen anytime soon.

It would be more likely that yahoo get more out of a partnership than Microsoft. If this were to happen Google would be struck with a big blow. The thing is who can catch Google; they keep acquiring money, and new things such as Youtube.

I agree with you about Google. I wish Microsoft would offer me at least a million dollars. It seems funny that $80 billion is not enough. Interesting article about Microsoft.
