Easy Ways to Be More Productive

Do you wish you had a 36 hour day? Well, we all do. Even though it isn't possible, there are some tricks that can help make your life easier.

We lead busy lives. There is always something to do. Then at the end of the day, we realize that we didn’t accomplish all that we wanted. It would be nice if we could have a 36 hour day instead of a 24 hour day, wouldn’t it?

Well since that won’t happen, why not work to be more productive with the time you already have? You may think you are being as productive as you can. But the results of implementing the suggestions that follow will definitely have an impact.

Use a Timer

A timer is one of the best tools you can use. If you know you want to complete a task in a certain amount of time, the timer can help you accomplish your goals. Also, when something you are doing is mentally demanding, a timer can help you understand when to take a break. For example, you can set the timer for thirty minutes. Try to get as much work done in the thirty minutes as you can. After you do that, you can take a break.

Multi-Task

Multi-tasking is something that some people are naturally good at. Other people can only focus on one thing at a time. However, there are some things that are so easy to multi-task that even people who don’t think they are good at it can accomplish. For example, you can talk to your friends and family while folding the laundry. Hands-free cell phone accessories make it easier than ever to do more than one thing at once.

Create a To-Do List

Each day, you should list all of the things you need to get done. What are the five most important items? Make sure you do those before you do anything else. Learning how to prioritize is an essential skill for those who get more done.

Spend Less Time on Errands

Errands can eat up a lot of time. Think about ways you can group your errands together to save time. If the post office is by the super market it doesn’t make sense to visit them on different days. The more errands you can group, the more time you will save.
