How to Get Paid to Shop

Learn how to get paid for your shopping time!

Get Paid to Shop?

Are you one of the many keen shoppers who has an eye for detail and a flair for improvement? Then why not actually get paid to shop? It's quite possibly one of the easiest professions available.

But how do you do it? Simple. Perform a very basic online search for companies that handle retail reviews, such as A Closer Look. Keywords you'll want to use are “mystery shopper” and “paid to shop”. This search will return thousands of results directing you to businesses that work in the retail review industry.

Register with a retail review company as a mystery shopper. The competition is fierce, so be patient if you are not selected as a mystery shopper on your first go-round. Once you are registered as a mystery shopper, then you will be assigned to case specific stores to gather information. Once you return from your paid shopping trip, you will either be reimbursed or reimbursed AND paid for the items you purchase. What a deal?! You were going to that store anyway, right?

The work comes in the form of a survey that you have to fill out after your mystery shopping spree. You will need to answer questions about the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness of the store and the availability of the merchandise. It's a synch for someone who shops often!

Be warned: there are many mystery shopping schemes out there designed to make you pay a membership fee for privileged information. In order to begin your career as a mystery shopper, you should not have to pay any fees up front.

Good luck and get out there and make some purchases!
