Using the text link blocks of Google Adsense ads will usually get you better click through rates than the other type. Adsense for content is a good way to go. These links look more like an actual navigation on your site, and will seem like a natural place for your visitors to click.
Make the Colors Match
You don’t want to make the Google Adsense ads stand out from the rest of your site. You may argue that it will make people notice them more and click on them, but this is not the case. People respond better to ads that blend with the color of your website.
Top of the Page Ads
Putting your advertisements near the top of the page is a great idea. Some people do not bother to scroll down too far to see what else is on the page. It is better to attract the visitors attention with options if they decide they do not like what is on your page.
