Small Business the Old Fashion Way

Small businesses in today's economy.

Many small businesses are facing hardships.  It's not just certain ones, it's any all types of small businesses.  Your gift shops, restaurants, automotive, farmers and even some taverns and many, many others these are just a few.   They are being forced to raise their prices on their goods and services.   Their employees  are needing raises due to the rising costs of living.  It goes on and on.  The insurance and taxes are raising.  Everything is going up, up, up except their sales and profits.

Some small business are trying to operate without raising their prices.  The theory is to maintain current customers and gain new ones from other businesses who are raising their prices.  They are trying to keep their heads above water by using other funds to make up for their losses.  Their is a strong hope that our economy will recover and sales and profits will come back to life.

Some of the small business operations once done by hired help are now being done by the owners.  The owners are taking over the bookkeeping, payroll and pretty much all of the basics needed to operate their business.  They are finding new ways to make the record keeping  more effortless through computer software programs.   This makes it easier for them to take care of things and rely less on other human efforts.  Some owners are moving their operations back into their homes where they first started eliminating the need for the extra office space.

The old fashion way of operating seems to be a winner when things go into a crisis.  The old fahiosn way of operating seems to be more modern than what it used to be.  It's good that their is still a safe mode to fall back on when you need to.
