First of all you must get a good domain for your website. If you are going to make a website about cars you should pick a domain about cars. If the subject is general stuff pick a general domain invented by you for example.

Now get some decent hosting. don't save money here and get the best you can. Get ready to pay more than 10$ per month if you are just starting and more than 100$ per month as soon as you get a decent number of visitors. If you are going to use Wordpress increase the budget even more because Wordpress is awesome at the price of slowness.

Now that your site is running on Wordpress (this is the best way to make one and I don't recommend anything but Wordpress) you need to get a great and UNIQUE template for your business. If you get a template that everyone is using already, people won't trust your website as much as they would with a unique template. Google also tend to rank websites lower with non unique content and the template counts like content as well!

Webmaster tools is another essential tool. It will tell you with which keywords your website scores well on Google and which keyword people click to get to your website. It will also tell you how your site is indexed by Google and a lot more information.

Live Webmaster Tools is another useful tool to install but as good as Google's.

Now you must write AWESOME content inside the website. Is the only thing that makes people and to your website and the only thing that keeps visitors in your website. Content is KING! Keep this in mind all the time. Well, why are you reading this page if not for the content, right?

Next and probably as much important is the ads you are going to put in the website. Google Adsense is almost always the #1 choice for most webmasters. However for some niches the ads will be very untargeted and cheap and you can't expect to make that much. History is a good example. You should use Adsense ONLY if you don't have time to find good products by yourself. If you can start with Clickbank for example. You can pick goo information and software products that will even pay you recurring commissions. This means you sell once and you make money every month, just like paying an internet connection for example.

Finally install Google Analytics to see which web pages are doing fine and which ones should be redesigned or even deleted. Analytics will tell you even which pages are generating the most Adsense revenue. However since this feature is very new don't expect it to be 100% accurate.

As soon as you are an expert in this field you can take a look at CJ.com and pick thousands of products and services from the most well known and trusted places such as Microsoft, eBay, Yahoo, Apple and a lot more.

One way to make a lot of money selling products and it is not very explored by webmasters yet is making your content linkable to Clickbank and CJ products. This way you don't crush the design and you make the advertising inventory more profitable since you have a lot more space.

Whoa there, Tonto. You need to consider how much capital you will need to start your venture and also how much time you will spend to build the business.

Go Long

While goal setting is important, a business plan is even more essential. Have a solid foundational business plan in place so that you can be aware of where you going and where you are at. There is real truth in the saying, “If you aim at nothing, you are sure to hit it.”

Think Big

Do What You Love

If you truly enjoy selling Muskrat furs (I can't resist!), then follow this avenue and see where God can take you. You can probably find a business op or start your own business …as the old adage goes “If you do what you love, the money will follow.”

Just as there are a million different ways to get to Rome, there are a million different ways to become financially free.

I have always been interested in MLM and Network Marketing and always run into people who like to tell me, it's a pyramid scheme, only the people on the top make the money and whatever else those “nay Sayers” like to throw out there to justify their failures and doubts. I don't really listen much to peoples opinions, because most of these people will also tell you that life is unfair and you have to work hard to earn a living; when you mention financial freedom, they'll go “what's that?” That's something that was designed for the rich…well; I don't need to continue on because these are the people who are poison to those who want to advance. They mean well, I'm sure.

I realized that most of these people are broke. They don't take risks, they play small, and they are victims to circumstances. They blame and complain. When they run into an opportunity, they see someone else trying to get them for their money. Why is that?

We were taught to have a job, to go to work, provide, take one week vacation a year and probably sit around the house, fixing the roof, because money is tight and that's the way it is. Great life isn't it? Not so much.

What's my point? I've known so many people like those. My family. I am pretty open minded; I've tried a few MLMs. Yes, I just “tried” I didn't do it. I didn't follow through with it. I failed miserably quite a few times. It didn't work for me. One day I sat down and took a real good look at what I'm actually doing and why I am where I am. And boom. It hit me. I didn't care about the product. I wanted to make money. Yesterday! Fast! Now! My heart wasn't in it. I am a musician, what am I doing selling life insurance?

I enrolled my friends, people who are just like me. I surrounded myself with people just like me, broke, frustrated and skeptical, looking for the quick fix. I took a break and gently asked the universe to give me a sign. A new opportunity. I opened my e-mail and a guy I met a while back at the Millionaire Mind Intensive send me an e-mail saying “call me” with his number. My “programs” (old beliefs) told me, it's not you, another thing you'll fail at, don't do that again, you're not good at this. Just a waste of money and time. Great story isn't it? What did that story do for me in the past?

The product wasn't resonating with me. I decided to be open minded and approach it through a different pair of lenses.

1. Sign up at forums.digitalpoint.com, and paypal.com if you have not already done so.
2. Visit hostgator.com to purchase your domain name and sign up for their hosting baby plan. This will cost you $15-25 to start out.
3. Go to the Business section of DigitalPoint and navigate to Design, there you will have a template built. For my first website I paid Adrian $60, and was very pleased with the results. However, you can also choose to have one built by one of the less skilled designers for about $10. Make sure that you describe the theme of your site to the designer so the colors are appropriate for your niche.
4. You will need to have the designer “splice the PSD” for you if you do not own a copy of Adobe Photoshop
5. You will need to take the template and modify the text and links to create your index
6. From there, create and link each of your pages:
   • A Links page for link exchanging
   • A Purchase page for customers to select their item(s)
   • A Contacts page which will contain your information
   • A Products page which will give detailed info about the product you're marketing
7. Ensure that as you are creating the homepage text you use your targeted keywords to maximize SEO (search engine optimization). Good search engine rankings will dramatically increase your sales. Remember though that it is important that you do not just spam the keywords, you need to entice your viewers into making a purchase.
8. You will need to log into Paypal and upgrade your account to a business account so you are ready for sales
9. Create buttons via Paypal for your specific item prices to make checkout easier for your customers
10. After the buttons are uploaded to your purchase page, you are ready to begin drawing viewers to your site. Firstly, you will want to link exchange with similar sites. You will want to visit the Link Exchange section of DigitalPoint and create a new thread offering trades with the links page of your new site.
11. You will want to pay for PPC (pay per click) advertising to your website as well. This can be done by singing up at one of many affiliate sites (especially adsense.com) and choosing good keywords for your ad.
