Free Legitimate Work at Home Jobs

There are thousands of legitimate work at home jobs available , where you do not have to pay any joining fee or make any investment. Never ever pay to get a work at home "job", these jobs are usually scams or make unrealistic claims and you are likely to lose your money.

You can apply for a suitable job depending on your experience, skills, interests and the environment at home. A senior citizen may prefer a less strenuous job , while a mother with noisy children will not be able to take up a customer service job, which involves speaking on the phone. Disabled persons can apply to companies like JLodge who give them higher priority while hiring .

If you are enjoy speaking on phone, there are more than fifty companies which offer customer service work at home jobs . For most of these jobs, a high speed internet connection and a dedicated land line phone is needed. There should be no noise in the background while answering or making phone calls, so this job may not suitable for mothers with very small children unless someone at home is taking care of the child. Some companies hire for agents for taking incoming calls only, so telephone bills are reduced, though the hourly rates paid are usually lower.

If you have a good typing speed, you can apply for transcription jobs. They pay well and hundreds of companies outsource transcription . Some companies hire without any experience, especially for general transcription, if you successfully complete their online test. For medical transcription, you will either need to have relevant experience in the medical field or complete an online training course like the one offered by Careerstep. You have to download the audio files for transcription from the companies website. Payment varies according to the length of the file and complexity.

You can find a list of companies including Google offering free work at home jobs (with websites) in USA, Canada at PC Work at Home. These companies have thousands of people working from home for them and pay them regularly.
If you are from some other country, you can find free data entry, data conversion , CAD, transcription, freelance writing, software and other computer work at home jobs at PC Work at Home.

Work From Home Opportunities

Many people these days are looking to work from home. There are many different opportunities, and I am here today to discuss some things I have found to be true about working from home.

One big thing is that people want to have "work" at home, like a job at home. After all, it would be so easy. You are assigned a certain task, and even have a certain way to do it, and then as well hourly pay. One thing that I have found to fall under that category is telecommuting from the office to home. Well, I for one do not have a degree of any sort so I am not eligible for those, so I will just as soon try to find something that anybody can do.

Another thing is that I've seen that is a job at home is data entry. I don't know anything about how the data entry is supposed to work, but I have yet to find one that you don't have to pay to start up. All of the sites are computer generated, and that is how you sign up. If you have questions, there is no customer service to get a hold of, so job description and pay is limited. The sites brag on high pay and $200 and up a day, but anything that boasts the easiest thing in the world as long as you pay for it first, isn't very trustworthy.

The last thing that I have been finding is telemarketing and door to door sales for local small businesses. These are legit and in fact can be good pay, they just are commission only. I like these because you can take off whenever you want and work whenever you want. These are also easy to find because they can be found in the classifieds, and I find them on Craigslist all the time.

The next thing that I've seen a lot is home-based businesses. Most of them work in a similar fashion, and they are PrePaidLegal, Shaklee , and Change Your Life just to name a few. The way to work is that you have to use their service to be able to revenue share their income.

The exact way, is that you want to work from home, so you look on websites like craigslist , Kijiji, and other free classifieds. You see an opportunity to work from home so you respond to it and then somebody contacts you to watch a presentation. When you watch the presentation you are told about the products, and about the business behind it. If you are into the business, you have to sign up and you get the benefits of the products by having to use their monthly service. Then you post ads on the fore mentioned free classifieds and then do the same. That way, you are helping people who want to work from home and you are making an income.

On the other side of that, if your prospects are not into the business, they may be into the products and therefore you still get a profit. The products and services are of value, and most everybody can use them.

In short, there are far more home based business opportunities than simple jobs at home opportunities. You got to remember one thing though, investments. All home based businesses are going to require investments. As with the previously described businesses, you have to generally spend $75 or less and you get the services or products to use for your own personal use. There is no other business where I can think of that you have to make investments but can use the products for yourself. That is a win win situation. Your worst case scenario is that you make no money whatsoever but more than likely you used these products in your daily life before you even tried to start a business, so you are out absolutely no money at all.

Technology: E-commerce

The history of e-commerce dates back to the 1970's. With the start of EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), these programs allowed companies to facilitate commercial transactions electronically. Throughout the 1980's the e-commerce, orELECTRONIC COMMERCE, started to grow even more. With this growth came even more acceptance of credit cards and ATM's (Automated Teller Machines). By the 1990's e-commerce ERP systems (Electronic Resource Planning) was introduced, as well as data warehousing and data mining. *Data Mining is the process of sorting through large amounts of data and picking out relevant information.

The history of e-commerce dates back to the 1970's.

By the mid 1990's popularity of the Internet grew. By 2000, many US and Western European companies began to emerge on the World Wide Web. With this emergence came a new meaning for e-commerce. Unfortunately, during 2000 many of these e-commerce businesses disappeared with the dot-com collapse. Even though the Internet was being used by the general public now, the largest transactions of e-commerce were B2B (Business 2 Business). This all took place by the end of 2001 and translated into nearly $700 billion dollars in transactions.

In 1994 Amazon.com, Inc had begun. Founded by Jeff Bezos and launched by 1995, the company started out selling books. To date, Amazon.com, Inc has added many other products to its line. Some of these products are DVDs, MP3s, CDs, Furniture and much more. As one of the founding e-commerce companies, Amazon.com, Inc has revenue of US $14.84 billion and a net income of US $476 million as of 2007. By 2007, Amazon.com, Inc has nearly 17,000 personnel working for the company.

In closing, the effect of e-commerce can be seen throughout our everyday lives. Whether it is in the form of ATM's, online banking, shopping or credit card transactions, one thing remains the same... e-commerce in a sense has made our lives easier. From a business stand point to a consumer view, e-commerce has developed into a technology of endless avenues. As our lives push forward and grow, so does this technology. E-commerce is the future and will continueto impact us as we continue to shop, bank and spend our hard earned cash.

Pros and Cons of a Work at Home Cosmetic Business

You saw it in an ad, heard about it through a friend, or looked for it via the Internet, a cosmetic business that you could begin from home. If it wasn't because of curiosity and or desperation, you would have left it alone, but here you are ready to begin.

What are the pros and cons of starting a business like Avon or Mary Kay? Well, here are the positives:

Very little start up investment

You can purchase products from yourself at a discount

Be rewarded with trips or merchandise when you reach sales goals

Learn how to market a business

Make new friends

Those benefits are the ones you most likely heard about, but here's what you may or may not know about and can negatively damage your relationships with friends and family and your credit score.

If you plan to use family and friends, you may find yourself marketing to them way too frequently because you don't know many people or established enough customers to meet monthly sales goals. Of course, no one likes to feel obligated to buy from anyone, so think long and hard whether you want to get the people closest to you involved.

You have to pay for your samples, catalogs and business tools

Items aren't always easy to return and if you don't return them right away for credit, you may not get reimbursed

Don't carry balances on the items that you have sold or plan to sell. If you used your credit card to build your business and can't pay the balance at the end of the month, you may find yourself in trouble with your credit card company and your supplier. If your supplier stops shipping you items, you can forget about continuing with your business until your balances are paid in full. This unfortunately causes delays and you may lose customers. (In case, you ever wondered why in the past you had to wait so long for your products, they weren't always on back order, some representatives were late getting payments to the companies and made you wait.).

Don't be tempted to buy your own products frequently. This has landed many representatives in troubled waters; therefore, eventually ruining their credit rating.

Although the start up investment is minimal in the short term, in order to market your business effectively, you will have to invest modestly in the long term

Advertise Your Web Design Business with Article Marketing

Article Marketing for Web Design - Topics and Keywords

Picking topics and keywords to write about your web design business should not be hard. Open your favorite keyword research tool, such as Wordtracker, and input "web design." You can write about different aspects of web design, coding, graphic design, and website usability. If you target your web design business to particular types of businesses, you can also write about them. For example, if you design websites for small business owners, you can write about various small business resources and methods.

Article Marketing for Web Design - Where to Put the Articles

If advertising is your purpose in writing these marketing articles, you must put them where they will attract interested people. Article marketing depends largely on popular article directories such as Ezine Articles. However, you can also post your articles in blogs and on forums that pertain to your industry. Writing informative and interesting articles is vital to advertising your web design business.

Article Marketing for Web Design - What to Avoid

Remember that your goal in article marketing is to entice people to hire your web design skills. You want to create a need and an interest in your services. Do not write articles telling people how to design websites! If you do that, you risk destroying the need for your services. Do not write articles about coding techniques, graphic design, or website style with a focus on how to do it.

Besides not giving away web design trade secrets, never write an article that sounds like an advertisement for your web design business. Article marketing experts recommend that your company or what you do is not mentioned at all in the body of the article. Instead, insert a call to action and web design business link in the author's biography at the end of the article.

You can advertise your web design business with article marketing. By focusing on style and usability issues, and the possible businesses that may like your web design skills, you will attract potential customers without giving them the tools to avoid your web design business entirely.

Work at Home Moms Employ Children in Business

Cheap Labor

Even the youngest children can help with some aspects of a work at home business. They can staple papers together, stuff things in envelopes, and sort items. Older children can tape packages shut, fold brochures, and collate papers. Work at home moms can use their children for cheap labor while teaching them important skills. Helping out can also be a lot of fun.

Asking your child to perform certain tasks for your work at home business could never be construed as illegal child labor practices. Folding brochures for twenty minutes will not get you in trouble with the law. Nor is it unfair to a willing child. However, children who are under the age where they are legally allowed to work to do extensive labor might be a problem.

Important Skills

Besides getting ready workers that can help the work at home mom with simple tasks, she can take the opportunity to teach the children important skills. Not only will they learn about things such as weighing boxes, writing business letters, and accounting, they will learn great character skills. Work at hom moms must have a strong work ethic, goal-setting skills, determination, and lots of responsibility.

Teaching your children that they are a vital part of the success of the family is a good thing. Focusing on everyone working together for a common goal will increase their self-esteem; they will view themselves as important to the family as a whole.

Work at home moms do not have to get this labor for free, however. Teaching children about earning money for their work is another important life skill. The work that your children do is important to your business and family. Reward the child's efforts with a set rate of income.

Balance in All Things

Balancing family and business responsibilities is an important part of becoming a successful work at home mom. Using children as a cheap labor force should only occur when they are being taught useful skills, and it never should be abused in any way. If a work at home mom makes the choice to stay home and work with her children, she must parent them before she bosses them.

Five Steps to Profit Immensely From Your Employee

Despite employees are the most valuable of your resources, they are very expensive they cost you so much money and the complete reality is that unless every employee pays their way a lot of your money could end-up down the drain!

When you do not know which of your employees is yielding profit for you, how much you are spending on them or whether you are operating at a profit, this short article will enhance you with vital news. And it will make you adjust and be over the situation.

But how do you know which employee is working beneficially for you, especially if your employees are spread all over the country For all you know your money could be leaking away drop by costly drop, like oil from a leaking petrol tanker.

Here come the five steps you can use quickly to seal off the leaking petrol tanker!

Theorize The Money

What can't be estimated can't be improved. The first step is to get your employees to use timesheet. A timesheet records the number of hours into a table cell in a spreadsheet or software form each day. Activities are often grouped in a project. There are many excellent timesheet systems available.

Estimate

Secondly, estimate the true hourly cost of your employee per hour. You can work out a percentage to add to your employee hourly rate that will cover all overhead, pension and health care payments, the cost of holidays and sickness (which are non-productive for you but still need to be paid for).

Get Feedback

How about a report that shows how an employee’s activities is being monitored and what he actually spends his time on, it may be the secret of all times, revealing reports would be available if the data is entered accurately. The information keyed by your employees is priceless jewel. This must be put together to make up the basis of reports. How about a report that shows the total of hourly costs of every employee working on a project.

Monitor

This will give you the opportunity to be very sure if your costs are decreasing or growing. Consequently, you will see the positive outcome of any changes you have implemented. Closely monitor and manipulate the reports you have, it must consist of a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual format and the information as accordingly.

Sit Face to Face And Talk

Some employees might be completely ignorant of how they cost the company. Of course, this step has to be done carefully, unless you have a real problem to sit face to face with your employee. Let the employee know the actual cost implication of his time and let him know how much each activity he is into with costs the company, this is the exclusive step. Show each of them the timesheet of all other employees, so that no employee will think he’s being targeted for preferential treatment.

With the specified feedback, stoppage or reduction of wasteful and expensive activity and focus on activities that are literally profitable will lead to increment on your profit immensely from your employees. Monitoring employee activity in this way can truly be an enlightening experience.

And you must also know that your employees need constant training and retraining for them to be introduced and perfect their skills, and they must be enlightened on time management.

Five Business Reasons to Implement Remote Positions

So, get out of it! Start offering Remote Positions through your company! Businesses everywhere are still of the mind that there's an all or nothing offering for a remote job. Fortunately for everyone in business, this is simply not true and can easily be corrected with a little management planning and position planning. Businesses win in many ways, and getting ready for the future is just one.

Best Practices Creation

Having a set of Best Practices for Remote Workers already in place allows the business to draw employees who are in alignment with a growth business and are already leaning toward continuous improvement.

Broadened Hiring Choices

Limiting a business to local hiring choices for a position that is goal oriented is ultimately costing the business. If the best person for the job lives two time zones ahead of you and the position is right, consider reviewing your Best Practices to see if the business should broaden their horizons with the position hiring choices and go remote.

Business Skills Widened

Management is all about coordinating and growing business skills in both self and others. Any given business is only as good as it's management staff, so look to ensure the business management staff is broadening their own management skills as well, to align with future business needs.

Compatible Vision

Offering a Remote Job package aligns professionals with compatible vision with the business and allows all to rise above the norm. Ensure that you are able to invite inspiring, creative minds to your business without the politics of an office surrounding.

Environmental Wave Rights

By redefining "productivity" to exclude "office time," business managers have the opportunity, now, to glean multiple benefits for their businesses. Offering a Remote Position (aka Work at Home Job, or Work from Home Job) also allows for a company to position itself, globally, as a more environmentally friendly company. With the Eco Wave continuing to grow, managers and business owners need to consider how they will stack up before the governments of the world put legislation in place to force more environmentally friendly actions - or face fines.

Over all, getting out of any box is a terrific actionable item.

Tired of Being Scammed

Are you tired of work at home jobs that promise you a paycheck & don't deliver? I know I am. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a stay at home mom of 3, my husband works a full time job, and I have been looking for a legitimate work at home job, to make ends meet. I have spent many hours over the years trying this or that, wasting money on jobs that either don't exist or are a scam. I just want to find a job that I can do at home, and actually gives me a paycheck. I am willing to work; I'm just tired of getting ripped off. I worked outside my home for awhile when my two older kids were babies, but with the high price of daycare finally ended up quitting. My entire paycheck was going to daycare every two weeks, and I finally decided I could stay home & take care of my kids, or throw my paychecks out the window & let someone else enjoy my babies. I did daycare for awhile, but I live so far out, that it was kind of an inconvenience for the 2 families whose kids I took care of. So that put an end to that after awhile.

I have tried multiple different “work at home opportunities” to no avail. I checked into different envelope stuffing scams & postcard scams, you know the ones - you are supposed to get $1.00, $5.00, or whatever amount they are paying just for stuffing, labeling, & mailing envelopes, or labeling & mailing special postcards. First you send anywhere from $20.00-$30.00 or more for your supplies and information. Then you find out that you either have to pay for the envelopes, stamps & labels, or that if you send out 1000 envelopes or postcards, & only 2 people respond to your mailer, you only get paid for those 2.

Then I tried this other company; all I had to do was pass out their advertisements, with my special code on them. Whenever someone saw a flyer & called & used my code I'd get paid. Well, I put out flyers every where. I supplied the paper, my printer & ink, & even mailed some to my sisters in another state to pass out. I either never had 1 person call, or I just never got paid for them. There was another chunk of money wasted.

I've also sent for all this free info on “exciting career opportunities you can do in your spare time at home”. Please send X amount of money & you can get started on ________ right away. A lot of them are MLM & you have to buy their products & sell them & the people in your line or above you get a percentage of your profits. Then when you get people below you, you get a percentage of their profits. Not for me. First of all, I don't have a huge pile of money laying around to buy X amount of profit, & second, I don't want to be a part of MLM sales. I just want to do a job & get paid, not have to work my butt off selling something, so the people above me can enjoy my profit also.

Then there's those other websites; you pay $40.00 for a years subscription to unlimited legitimate work at home opportunities. I'm in one right now as a matter of fact. But it's a lot of the same stuff. You have to pay a company to order their information, or kits, or what ever it is, then you make hair bows, wood jewelry boxes, or sewing, etc., & your supposed to make so much money per piece, dozen, or case, & send them back to the company. Then they'll send you your paycheck & another kit. But if they don't think the items you made are good enough, you don't get paid. So basically you made their product for them for free.

Now they have this new thing, car advertising. Where you drive around with a companies advertisement on your vehicle, or their vehicle. The bigger the ad the more they pay you. You just have to drive so many miles a month for their advertising. The only catch is trying to find a company to pay you to advertise for them. Of course I've spent a lot of time on the web, and if you pay X amount of money to a certain website they'll give you the names of companies that will pay you to do this. The only problem is, since you don't have access to the info before hand, there's no guarantee there are companies in your area.

Then there are other jobs, certain companies will pay you to work for them at home at your convenience, provided you have this or that degree, or a couple years experience.

Then there's eBay & Amazon. If you have a ton of stuff to sell, & your going to make a lot of money, fine. But I checked out Amazon, & you have to pay so much a month, then say you sold a book. They automatically get another .99 from your sale, then another 10-15 percent of your profit. Well if you sold the book for $5.00 and after they get their share, you're not getting much, plus you still have to pay their monthly rate.

I am so tired of wasting my time and money to try & find a work at home job that's for real. I keep hearing they're out there, & I keep on hoping that one day I'll find one. If so, I'll keep you posted.
