Always Coca-cola

Have you ever thought about the history of the commercial ads that we often see everyday, from the window of our TVs, from the busy street of Edsa, and the whole network ads being posted here and there?

It came to my curiosity how these great people in advertising companies always come up with new and bright ideas. One of them that actually holds a great array of best commercials listed in the whole generation is Coca-cola .

Not to be biased with the competitors like Pepsi nor Mountain Dew, but Coca-cola has created various commercials that are quite unique using advanced attributes of technology in art and graphics world. For example; they use Michael Jackson's stigma and charisma to the public when Pepsi features their promotional release, and that's during early 80's to 90's. I was in grade school then and I haven't been interested with MJ during that time. Yet when i got a glimpse of the Polar Bear clan sipping Coca-cola in the middle of the Arctic Region, that was an enticing example for me. I have nothing against advertising and promotional plans of other soap products using celebrities, since some other style of using celebrity to promote product thus work for others, but heck the ad from Coke that time really sold out and garnered great reviews.

Anyway, as I was breezing on some sites of these big corporations, I went to check on their jingles, and one jingle has always been the pioneer of Coca-cola ad campaign. Trivia has it, that the jingle " Always Coca-cola" was produced and wrote by Terry Coffey & Jon Nettlesbey; who are they? I'm not sure, but according to their history in making this music and competing with other songwriters to come up with the global jingle had made history in all parts of the world.

Amidst tremendous competition from many other writers, the duo won this coveted job by writing the highly successful jingle "Always Coca-Cola," which was heavily broadcast worldwide from 1993 to 1999. And indeed their jingle has caught lots of attention. My entire life, I had seen almost all the commercials of Coca-cola and here in the Philippines, I can tell that the local versions of ad in Coca-cola world have already adapted quite pretty good. Have you seen the "Buhay Coke - Buksan Mo!" ad, which was featured over the streets and on tv? I say its very good. You might also wanna check the "Coca-cola Happiness Factory" campaign they've release internationally. Pretty amazing graphics as well.

Oh well, what was the theme they were all saying back then? Coke is life!
