Most of the entrepreneurs who prefer net work marketing choose it as the best method to avoid the unnecessary expenses of advertising the product or products. People who act as the distributors of the company after purchasing the product of the company also will start getting residual income from this business. It can be opted by people who do like the traditional ten to five jobs or by the housewives who are in search for a source of income without sacrificing their family life.

You will also have to make a number of phone calls to keep in touch with the clients and to know the exact condition of the network you set in motion.

How to Implement what You Preach in Network Marketing

If you want to be a real success in this field, try to be a real leader for your associates or the clients. You should be in a position to set up yourself as a role model for the persons working under you. It is easy to provide them with theory classes that explain the different marketing tools and strategies. but setting up a real life example for making marketing need not be as easy as you teach them with theories.
It is not possible for a network marketer to keep silent, waiting for the result. Try to follow up the position of the chain or the network to get an exact picture of the business. If you feel that it is going to break somewhere, it is your responsibility to put some extra effort to keep it going on. What all you require now is the patience to observe the business and wait till you get your results.

It is your responsibility to keep their enthusiasm high in the business. You can set up your own business strategies to make your business a success. What ever be the strategy you adopt to run your business, keep it convincing to others by setting up practical examples for them. You will have to come forward to duplicate the business making your associate to work the same way.

Is Network Marketing for Everyone?

I'm a true believer that we are all responsible for our own lives, our relationships, careers, the car we drive, the size of our bank accounts and homes, the people we keep around us. Everybody has different definitions of success and that's fine. Maybe some people even like working a day job, paycheck to paycheck. I'm sick and tired of it. Seeing the Hummers, Range Rovers, Corvettes and Z4's, that's my definition of success. Living in Malibu, having my own recording studio, taking my friends out to dinner, going on vacations is what I like to do when I want to without checking my bank account. Doing what I want when I want to is my goal. Spending quality time with my loved ones is my definition of a great life.

Just as there are a million different ways to get to Rome, there are a million different ways to become financially free.

I have always been interested in MLM and Network Marketing and always run into people who like to tell me, it's a pyramid scheme, only the people on the top make the money and whatever else those “nay Sayers” like to throw out there to justify their failures and doubts. I don't really listen much to peoples opinions, because most of these people will also tell you that life is unfair and you have to work hard to earn a living; when you mention financial freedom, they'll go “what's that?” That's something that was designed for the rich…well; I don't need to continue on because these are the people who are poison to those who want to advance. They mean well, I'm sure.

I realized that most of these people are broke. They don't take risks, they play small, and they are victims to circumstances. They blame and complain. When they run into an opportunity, they see someone else trying to get them for their money. Why is that?

We were taught to have a job, to go to work, provide, take one week vacation a year and probably sit around the house, fixing the roof, because money is tight and that's the way it is. Great life isn't it? Not so much.

What's my point? I've known so many people like those. My family. I am pretty open minded; I've tried a few MLMs. Yes, I just “tried” I didn't do it. I didn't follow through with it. I failed miserably quite a few times. It didn't work for me. One day I sat down and took a real good look at what I'm actually doing and why I am where I am. And boom. It hit me. I didn't care about the product. I wanted to make money. Yesterday! Fast! Now! My heart wasn't in it. I am a musician, what am I doing selling life insurance?

I enrolled my friends, people who are just like me. I surrounded myself with people just like me, broke, frustrated and skeptical, looking for the quick fix. I took a break and gently asked the universe to give me a sign. A new opportunity. I opened my e-mail and a guy I met a while back at the Millionaire Mind Intensive send me an e-mail saying “call me” with his number. My “programs” (old beliefs) told me, it's not you, another thing you'll fail at, don't do that again, you're not good at this. Just a waste of money and time. Great story isn't it? What did that story do for me in the past?

Let's see? It got me nowhere. I'm exactly where I was a year ago. My friend who got me into one of the MLM companies is doing fantastic. I could've been there, but I am not. And that's okay. The product wasn't resonating with me. I decided to be open minded and approach it through a different pair of lenses.

I realized, all the times before I always thought about one thing and one thing only. Money! I need to make money, not in a year, now! I didn't really like the product, but I thought I could Sell It. Yet I didn't.

I checked out the new opportunity and really liked everything about it. I decided to not try but do it this time around. Here's something that made all the difference.

I didn't approach any of the people I've approached in the past

I found something I'm truly passionate about

I'm being about helping others first and see the money as an extra bonus

I challenge myself to do things different

I am following a system a plan

I'm going one step at a time instead of trying to skip a few trying to race to the top

I think a lot of times we stop ourselves because we don't see how it is possible for us. It seems too big, too complicated, and too scary. Yes, only when we are uncomfortable is when we are growing. I dare you too, to do something different.

The Facts About MLM

I read an article, was waffling the biggest load of nonsense I have ever heard or read in my life. http://www.vandruff.com/mlm.html

His first point is regarding saturation, well this system has been going for 60+ years and saturation has not even come close. Herbalife international has been going for over 28 years and they have some 1.6 million distributors out of a population of 6 billion+ people. Amway who have been going since 1959 that is almost 50 years have 1 million distributors in the USA and 3 million worldwide, that is a total of 4 million in the whole world. Amway have in excess of 450 products to retail around the world. As a an ex Herbalife distributor I know they have at least 100 products available to their independent distributors to retail. So between arguably two of the largest MLM companies in the world they have less than 5 million distributors out of a world wide population of 6 billion.

The fact is that more babies are born per day than new distributors are being recruited. Why good people would get a bad taste in their mouth about MLM baffles me, get on with it and get people using the product. MLM contrary to the skeptic's belief is not about hard core selling, but about getting people to share high quality products. He then waffles about supply and demand, well assuming we are talking about skin care it is fair to say that this particular product will never saturate the market, so again get on with it and get sharing the product.

He then goes onto waffle about pyramid structures, well all corporate life is built on a pyramid structure. Also in most MLM companies people often earn more than their upline. Equal is as equal does. Because most companies pay out to certain levels it is very possible to earn more than your upline. Can that happen in a job? No!

He then does the 10x10 thing and has the whole city signed up in less than a week. If that is the case why are there less than 5 million Amway and Herbalife distributors combined worldwide? He then gripes about greed, well wake up sir there are some of us who want more out of life than 40 years at the broke factory and then a not so golden hand shake.

No sir, the original concept of MLM was to get on the product, get excited about your personal results and then share this with friends and family. Once you have 4 people sharing the product you are in for free and then you help others to do the same. Perhaps individuals got greedy and impatient but the system did not. This article in my mind is written by some one who never made it in MLM and has spent a lot of energy in the wrong place.

Viral Marketing: Basic Training Manual

Viral marketing is one of the ever emerging variations of guerilla marketing, a promotional strategy first made popular in 1984 by Jay Conrad Levinson in his best-selling book, Guerrilla Marketing.

Guerrilla marketing employs aggressive, non-traditional, low cost promotional activities to produce profits, rather than utilizing costly conventional media such as TV and magazine advertising. Like guerrilla warfare, it relies on timing, creativity, enthusiasm, energy, and of course, swift action.

These strategies and tactics make guerrilla marketing ideally suited for small start-up businesses and entrepreneurial ventures. Today, however, it's also used by mega-marketers, even Fortune 500 Companies, as part of their overall marketing plans.

Viral marketing is simply “word of mouth advertising” for the Internet Age. Although initially considered another guerrilla tool for small businesses, it has evolved to become an effective form of marketing for large companies too.

Like its traditional “word of mouth”, counterpart, viral marketing encourages people to voluntarily pass on information about a product, service or company to their social and business contacts.

Conventional word of mouth advertising relies on telephone calls, snail mail, discussions at church socials or random conversations in the grocery store to spread testimonial endorsements. Customers become voluntary brand ambassadors and a free source of publicity. But that's pretty much where the similarity to traditional word of mouth advertising ends.

Viral marketing is designed for today's digital world and its diverse Internet-based social networks. Using today's high-speed technology to communicate with existing online communities, it has the power to reach a potential audience of millions with incredible speed. The effectiveness of viral marketing results from its ability to quickly and cleverly infiltrate these online social networks at little or no cost.

The viral campaign process is simple. A message with a strong, irresistible offer is developed and then passed along through the online community. It spreads the same way a human or computer virus does --- by ongoing contact. Once the message starts spreading, it's propagated and voluntarily passed along from person to person -often in a matter of just days.

One of the keys to success in any “word of mouth advertising” is the ability to identify “opinion leaders” to jump on the bandwagon and spread your message. Traditional “word of mouth” advertising identifies active members of the local community and have extensive “spheres of influence” they interact with frequently. These spheres are groups of social or business contacts that follow the trends the opinion leaders set and try products they endorse or use. Identifying these groups in traditional marketing is a relatively subjective process, time-consuming and a often unreliable process.

Viral marketers, however, can take a more scientific approach. To maximize the impact of their marketing they seek individuals with a high Social Networking Potential or SPN. This Social Networking Potential is an algorithmic representation of the size of a person's social network and their ability to influence it. (For those of us who had trouble with basic Algebra, an algorithm is a series of carefully defined successive steps that need to be completed in order to accomplish a specific task. Algorithms are also the basis of Google's search engine operations.)

A number of different factors enter the SNP equation. They include the number of online community memberships, blogging frequency, web sites visited, content of personal websites, online affiliates, number of articles published, job title, employer, and other relevant data. Once this demographic and lifestyle data is analyzed, a SNP coefficient is calculated and assigned to an individual or social networking group. This rating can then be used to pinpoint people and groups who are prime viral contact points.

Savvy marketers and advertising agencies are also developing their own unique ways of identifying prospects with strong social networks and communicating with them through viral campaigns. There are now also specialized viral marketing consultants and advertising agencies whose clients include Fortune 500 companies. This investment of time and money indicates viral marketing is finding its niche in corporate America.

Many viral marketers simply compile “seeding lists” of high-traffic websites and online communities whose visitors are strong social networker. A typical could include sites like,
myspace.com,
bebo.com,
kontraband.com,
borednation.com
,
linkedin.com
and a wide range of others. There are specific social network sites that appeal to teenagers, college students, twenty-somethings, music groupies, parents, and even corporate executives. More sites like
youtube.com
tare emerging and developing a more broad based audience appeal. Today, there's an online social network for just about everyone.

Viral seeding lists aren't direct mail lists or email lists. Contrary to the belief of many mainstream marketers, viral communications are not confrontational or unsolicited. The objective is not to annoy prospects with “pop up boxes”, “ banner ads” or spam.

“Discovery” is what viral marketing is all about. The idea is to get a prospect to voluntarily find or discover and then interact with a communication containing an offer and branded content, and then pass it along to a friend. The communication could be a website, a video, music, a blog, a photo of the day, an advergame or other message. That's why they're “planted” on high traffic, highly targeted websites and portals, in news groups, bulletin boards forums and other online places where the right people will discover them and pass them along.

“Flying under the radar” is critical to the success of viral advertising. Viral communications cannot appear to be ads. Members of online communities and web surfers in general have become more sophisticated and have developed “filtering systems” that screens out obvious hype. Viral communications need to be very subtle and carefully disguised and strategically planted so they can be found by the right prospects and passed along. The more subtle, friendly nature of viral advertising is what makes it so effective with individuals or market segments are non-responsive to traditional advertising. Viral marketing in this respect is quite similar to “PR”.

Very often, the offer in viral marketing is “Free”. It could be a free email account, a free web page, a free screensaver or wallpaper, free software, video or music downloads, a free magazine subscription, a free T Shirt or product sample. The big creative challenge is to make the free offer appear to be really free with no strings attached and not just another advertising gimmick.

Viral marketing is far more sophisticated that many traditional marketers or even guerrilla markets give it credit for. And an increasing number of large companies are finding a place in their promotional mix for viral marketing as well.

In order to be effective, viral marketing requires a carefully developed plan. The plan is no different that a traditional marketing plan. A basic plan includes:

Objectives: a clear outline of exactly what you want to accomplish

Strategies: a detailed plan of how you're going to it

Target Audience: the market segments you're trying to reach

Media: What social networks and online communities you're going to use

Creative Strategy- What are the formats, styles, tones and offers of the communications.

Budget - How much you plan to spend annually and how the money is allocated

Tracking and Results Analysis- How you measure the effectiveness of the campaign

One very effective way for any business to use viral marketing is to boost the effectiveness of a TV, print or direct response advertising campaign. It's a simple, low cost and very efficient means of increasing your advertising effectiveness. Viral campaigns can be “seeded” in targeted social network sites and online communities that will “discover” your message quickly and pass it along. The message very often reaches a potential audience of millions virtually overnight. Usually you can see measurable results and a “lift” in your advertising performance in a matter of days.

In presenting the idea of viral marketing to some clients, I've encountered some very strange and humorous misconceptions it. One very conservative client described viral marketing as a “pack of high school kids in garages, techno-geeks in basements and pornography merchants in seedy bedrooms sending out spam that will infect PCs everywhere with deadly computer viruses.” Wow! I never realized viral marketing is destined to bring about the downfall of online civilization as we know it today. Well, thank God I'm a MAC guy and immune to most dreaded viruses. Better abandon your PC right away and get yourself a MAC today!

Viral Marketing has become serious business. Major national advertisers are shifting an increasing percentage of their advertising dollars from TV, radio, print and mail into interactive online media, including viral marketing. Like search engine marketing, pay per click advertising and guerrilla marketing, it's found its niche and is here to stay.

Your Online Business and the Email Challenge

To begin with, its a good thing to identify that a person who
emails you has an interest in your business. Allowing a gap of
time to response on your own or ignore this person is
detrimental to your business. This might not be apparent right
away but eventually the snowball effect of word of mouth would
get around that you do not care for your customers or potential
customers enough to provide good customer service. What happens
next is that this will then lead people to go somewhere else for
their purchases. To entirely avoid this here are some tips for
effectively dealing with email.

Its important for you, to answer email within 24 hours minimum.
Avoid having your response delayed for over 48 hours. To
accomplish this you will want to set aside time each day just to
respond to emails. Some say three times a day, morning, mid
afternoon, and evening is because it may take up a good span of
time for a good response.

Be sure to respond in a courteous and professional manner.
There will be times that you just don't feel like answering a
question that has an answer plainly on your website or sales
letter, or some question you feel is irrelevant or foolish. You
will need to hold back on the urge to send a response in
reaction to the way you feel and if you do not feel you can
politely and professionally answer, take a break. Come back
after taking some time to cool down. To the customer who asked
this could be an important part of their decision on whether
they will do business with you or not. Do not push away a
customer or potential customer with a hasty emotional response.

If you dislike answering email or it becomes overwhelming for
you to keep up with. Hire someone to do this task for you. You
will want to choose this person carefully. Get someone who has
the ability to respond in a friendly manner. Someone who knows
your business. This person will need to have the time to commit
to this task and will also need the English skill necessary to
get a prompt and understandable reply back to the customer.

Some questions will be repetitive. It's a good idea to set up a
standard response and file it away, so that you can cut and
paste it into your email and then tailor the rest of this to
that particular customer.

It is inevitable that our lives will sometimes demand that we
make adjustment to our regular routine. We may be set
back in our schedules. Making use of an auto responder,
by posting it on your website, or by sending out a newsletter
quick if something comes up will help you to keep in touch
even through challenging times. All people are aware of the
fact that things can happen and we understand, just make
sure to keep everyone informed on when they can expect
a response.

By corresponding on a regular basis to your customers, comments,
questions, or concerns, your developing a relationship with them
that will make them a happy and loyal group who will help your
sales. The bottom line is that if you ignore your customers,
they will simply go somewhere else which really defeats the
purpose behind your growing business.

Catastrophic Home Business Killers You Must Avoid

There are many things to avoid when starting a personal home-based business. However, your support team may not share this information with you either because they just won't or because they themselves do not know it.

Once you have everything set up, including your mind, to the commitment of owning a personal business, you need to sit down and plan your progress. Plot down how you can achieve certain goals and during what time frame.

Here are some DON'Ts if you are new to the home-based business and network marketing specialty.

Do not get caught up in the hype: Don't be blinded by what I call “beginners excitement” and go off on a spending frenzy because this senior person told you to buy this and that person told you to pay for such and such in order to advance quickly. Every penny that comes out of your pocket should be well calculated. Do not be impulsive - a habit many network marketers are guilty of.

Do not think you will be successful/rich over night! Another recipe for disaster is to think that the moment you sign up in a home-based business, heaven's doors will open for you and money will begin to fall out of the sky - not true. This is a slow and tedious process and sadly more than half of network marketers quit within the first year of sign-up as they are under the false impression that this is the lazy man's way to becoming a millionaire. True work and much time and effort are required in a home-based business, just like any other business or job.

Don't start with your family and friends: Resist the common advice to first and foremost start with your family and friends. Though it may work, not all will sign up and that will plant a seed of hostility and the feeling of being let down by those you thought cared. In many cases friendships go sour and family ties loosen up a bit. Simply state to your loved ones that you have just signed up for a home-based business but do not request them to sign up as a favor and do not bully them by attempting to recruit them.

Don't change your home-based business too frequently: Network marketers change their home- based businesses as much as business men change their suits. Do not do that! Stick with one business and give it your best shot.

Don't MULTI-TASK: Don't attempt to accomplish more than one thing at the same time. Focus on one thing at a time, do it right and master it, then move on to the second task. This applies to those of you who own more than one business. You need to focus on one business at a time and once you have one up and running, move on and focus on the second one. The same applies to perfecting your skills. If you are weak in prospecting, then focus on that till you master it and then move on to refine another skill, e.g: article writing.

Soaring with Your Business

How many people out there fantasize about being self made millionaires and how many actually do something that directs their lives on to a path that perhaps facilitates achieving that goal? How can we become millionaires and is this truly possible for the average Joe who was born into a middle class family and has had to work every day of his/her life to simply get by.

Where is that we who believe that the path to fame and fortune extends from the development/ ownership of a home based or a small business go wrong? More importantly how long should we struggle for and how much in the hole do we allow ourselves to become before we surrender, call it quits and return to the back of the corporate world line or perhaps even further more behind than where we first started off.

Whatever your goal is you need to plan and place targets that you know are within your capacity to perform that will help you achieve that goal. Most people have no clue how to become self made millionaires yet they wish it but unfortunately that just doesn't cut. The law of attraction does not advice that you simply wish.

If you have started a home based business and end up doing exactly what you should not do; neglecting it and watch yourself lose money as opposed to generating it only to finally blame your surroundings for your failure to understand the natural and economic laws then something is wrong in your methods of gaol achievement as well as your understanding of business laws.

Below I will list some of the common factors that result in home businesses disasters. Ask yourself this;
Are you selling yourself short everyday because of fear?

The expected but unwanted answer is a YES. The reason being that we lack the knowledgeable action needed which in turn inspires fear and what we do end up attracting into our lives and businesses is what we should have expected.

Humans carry the burden of fear and failure that in many circumstances simply ends up consumes us. In order to achieve the goals everyone else claims to be impossible you must disengage yourself from those emotions. You need to conquer your fears for everything it is that you need; want and desire in order for it all to become you're much wanted reality.

The wizardry of a successful home based/ small business lies in this 5 letter word- FOCUS which stands for (Follow One Course Until Successful). In the end it is essential to know that If you are staying in a job that you neither enjoy or see yourself doing for the rest of your life, for the pure feeling of knowing that each month you will receive a pay check and think that is worth the cost of liberty then you deserve neither the security nor the freedom as our once great leader Ben Franklyn once said.
