Ellen Ruppart is a volunteer in my classroom (Grade 1) this year at Cedarbrae Public School. She is a very reliable and extremely punctual individual. She helps out two days a week at the school. Ellen has ensured that she diversifies her experience by helping out at various times in the day and in various grade levels.

Ellen has been supporting students in my classroom by providing reading opportunities to students. She has made anecdotal records when reading with students to make note of their strengths and areas of further development. She has provided assistance with regular classroom work assigned by the teacher and has supported students during their centre activities. Ellen has worked with individual students as well as with groups. She has also provided support to students with special needs as well as second language learners in the classroom. Her support was differentiated to meet the needs of each individual student. Each student is greeted fairly and respectfully by Ellen. She has a calm yet firm manner when interacting with students. The students respect and trust her in return.

Ellen has also supported the classroom teacher in various ways. She has sorted and filed paperwork. She has prepared material for math and language lessons. Ellen has been a great support to our classroom.

Ellen has a great deal to offer to any classroom. She is a reliable and hard working individual. I do not hesitate in recommending her for any position you may have available. She will be a great asset to your school.
